It wasn't that long ago that we were hearing about a new Android-based flip phone for Samsung, and now it's been made official. They're calling it the Samsung Hennessey, which is quite a bit different from the "Samsung Galaxy Flip" name we were hearing leading up to this unveiling. The name makes me want to go party until the sun comes up, quite frankly. Anyway, we're looking at a dual-screen flip phone, with both displays coming in at 3.3 inches and HVGA (480 x 320) resolution. It runs Android 4.1, and although we'd hope for at least 4.2 at this point we can't say we are surprised. Inside is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1,500mAh battery, a 5 megapixel rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and more. Of course, the Hennessey isn't expected to make its way around the world — the phone will predictably be headed straight for China, where this form factor is still quite popular. We wouldn't bet on it reaching many other regions far outside of China, but the possibility always remains open. Share This Story: | |||
